Thank God for Craig Johnson Automotive! I had given up on finding an honest mechanic and then I decided to give this guy a try. I won't take my car anywhere else now. He had many chances to rip me off, yet many times I've left his shop with my car running like new and finding out it was a minor problem. Since my first few visits I've now purchased a more reliable car. Before I would buy it, I had him check it out bumper to bumper. He went through every inch of the car and was very thorough in checking for anything and everything that could be wrong with it. He was spot on with his evaluation. My husband and I were newlyweds and lived in a horrible apartment near Craig Johnson's shop. We were college students with a new baby as well, basically BROKE. When our older cars needed repairs, we took them to the closest repair shop. Thank god it was this one!

Craig Johnson Automotive is a family-run business. They always provided prompt service although we asked for the least amount of service we could get by on, due to our lack of finances. They gave us rides to the university or work while they repaired our cars. True professionals that take pride in their work!

They also sent us holiday cards and service reminders. 

Later, when we moved to a different city and got better cars and we still returned to Craig Johnson's for their outstanding service. There were times when any less-reputable mechanics would have taken advantage of us (when we thought something was wrong with the car and it wasn't), Mr. Johnson was always honest and a man of his word.  

We have relocated to Northern California and now that I am looking for a place like Craig Johnson Automotive... I realize how unique they are. - Sandra A.

This has got to be the most professional and friendly auto repair I've ever dealt with.

Several weeks ago, I brought my S-10 here to have an engine noise diagnosed. In the end, it was bad news and the repairs needed were more extensive than I could handle at the time, but I was still overwhelmingly satisfied with my experience and will definitely bring my other vehicle here next time I need a repair.

First, when I arrived and walked into the office, Craig was sitting behind the desk and greeted me personally. I told him what I was there for, but before he started talking shop (pardon the pun), he took the time to ask me if I had been there before. When I said that it was my first time, he took the time to stand up, look me in the eye, shake my hand and introduce himself. This guy is all class.

He then introduced me to his daughter, who was very courteous and friendly. She accompanied me to my car and started to write up the service order - again, very friendly the whole time. Moments later, Craig came out and took a listen to the engine noise. He gave me a couple "what if" scenarios, then gave me a specific time frame within which he would call me to let me know what he found. We walked back into the office to finish up the paperwork, where he then introduced me to his wife, who was also extrememly friendly.

He asked me if I needed I ride home (which I didn't), then said he'd call me back as soon as he knew anything. 

He called me back exactly when he said he would. Although he had bad news regarding the state of my vehicle, he took the time to explain the extent of the damage, patiently answer all my questions, and he was honest and up front about my repair options and what it would cost. He didn't try to push me into a costly repair that I couldn't afford.

The world could use a lot more honest, family-run businesses like this one. Even though I didn't actually get any repair work done on my first visit, my experience ensured that I'll definitely be back. Craig will take good care of you. - Chris V.
