First and foremost, Craig Johnson is a great mechanic to work with. He is extremely communicative, texting and calling back promptly when he says he will. On top of that, he explains the issues with your car concisely and in a language anybody can understand. I brought my PT Cruiser in here after it broke down and refused to stay on, and two days afterwards Craig was able to explain plenty of issues my car was spouting out. Instead of saying that everything needs to be replaced though, he explained that one part of my car was shorting out and that it would cause cascading errors to appear on the system. Due to money issues, I wasn't able to get it repaired at this time, but Craig gave me a detailed list of what he inspected, what he thought needed to be repaired first, and the prices that went along with the repairs he recommended. I was worried that the mechanic would be upset that I couldn't get the car fixed, and that I needed to bring it back to my house. He was understanding, polite, and downright friendly over the entire transaction. You never hear people say this, but I look forward to bringing my car to this garage again! - Casey P. When I was having a long-time engine problem, a mechanic friend of mine recommended Craig Johnson Automotive. I'm so glad he did, and here's why. My lucky break came -- my friend's recommendation to go to Craig Johnson Automotive. Guess what? Craig fixed the problem in a day! And lo and behold: No cracked distributor, just a faulty circuit board somewhere and voila, problem totally solved! No $500, PLUS LABOR at who knows how much extra on top of that. Total price: $425.00. Now you might say that my savings weren't that great. A couple of hundred, maybe, right? But just think: Had I trusted the dealership, I would've forked out all that money to install a new distributor and still I wouldn't have fixed the problem. I would've right back to square one with a new distributor but still a crappy running car. Not to mention the fact that I'd already paid them the $250, which I might have avoided paying had I known about Craig Johnson Automotive beforehand. But once Craig was done, my car was running like new again! So I finally got my car back after who knows how many years of aggravation and frustration, and for me that's absolutely priceless. I have recently had trouble with my vehicle. The dealer wants to charge way to much. The first mobile mechanic flaked out, the second made the repair but incorrectly. A friend took me to Craig Johnson Automotive ( clouds parting, beams of sunlight and do I hear an angel chorus?) he took his time,correctly identified the issues corrected the previous mechanic’s repairs and helped me with the dealer to have repairs covered by an extended warranty. Craig is knowledgeable, He has a large wall in his office covered with credentials and certifications. He is patient, professional and explains in detail what’s going on with your car, why it’s happening and how to fix it. He even helped me to get to get the car smogged. My father has been a patron of Craig Johnson Automotive for years, as the go to auto shop. Recently, my 2010 Camaro had engine failure. Chevrolet want my first born child as collateral to replace the engine. Craig quote me a better price towed the car away from the dealership the next day. Craig Johnson Automotive ordered 2016 version of the engine, dropped it in, and returned my car in LESS THEN TWO WEEKS! This company is deserving of every dollar spent. A few weeks ago, my car was having some trouble. My car needed to be towed to the shop and they took my car in on short notice. They offered to take me home after dropping my car off, but I had planned to walk home since I live close by. They called me to make sure I had gotten home safely. I recently went to see the pro's at CJ Automotive for my 30K oil change and service to my 2016 Tundra. A day or so later I had smelled a foul odor that I assumed was from the antibacterial spray used on my newly installed cabin filter. I called the shop and I was assured that the smell would go away in a day or so and still the smell lingered. I grew puzzled as nothing like this had ever occurred. I return to have this remedied only to discover I was the one at fault. The entire team converged on my vehicle and began the search. Tony was the one to discover the culprit. He could smell the strong pungent odor behind the driver's seat. As I lifted up the rear rubber floor mat Tony's eagle eye spotted something and said "Hey, what's that?" I looked where Tony pointed and say a decomposing red potato. It had fallen out of my grocery bag days before and began to dehydrate. I needed my brakes replaced on my Nissan. He gave me a quote based on my information. I dropped off my car while on my lunch hour and Larry calls me 2 and half hours later and says they're done and the amount was exactly what I was quoted.
